For those of us in the midwest, Cedar Point is the premier amusement park. Michigan’s adventure is cool, but it’s only accessible for people in Michigan really. And Six Flags is cool, but it’s quite a drive. A trip to Cedar Point in Sandusky is the highlight of many people’s summer here in the Great Lakes/Midwest region, and with good reason.
Cedar Point has some of the highest, fastest, and most intense roller coasters in the world. Growing up, we would make the pilgrimage there every July. As a young adult, my friends and I would go there and sneak in pocket flasks so that we could drink on the coasters. We were very lucky that we never got caught! Now, as a 30-something, I take my 2 kids every summer to both the main park, and to the water park – Soak City. If we lived a little closer, we would buy season passes!
But it’s insane to pay full price for tickets. Cedar Point offers discounts constantly – you just have to do a little bit of searching. Discount tickets are certainly not hard to come by. On the other hand, it’s NOT easy to know if you’re getting the best possible discount. Should you go on a family day? Should you take advantage of your workplace’s discount? Or should take in one of the $5 off soda cans for that discount?
