An Easy Place to Buy Cedar Point Discount Tickets

Recently, I stumbled onto a great place to score Cedar Point discount tickets offline. Most Cedar Point discount ticket deals that I find and post here are online. Some are simply deals that Cedar Point is running itself and has posted on their main page. Others are coupons that people around the web have located which you can use to get a discount on your cedar point tickets.

If you live in the Midwest, you’ve probably heard of Meijer grocery stores. These stores are located in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, and northern Kentucky. Meijer is a huge regional supermarket chain. They compete with stores like Walmart, and they’re actually larger than stores such as D&W or Krogers. Anyway, Meijer has recently started offering Cedar Point discount tickets right in their stores at the service desk!

Cedar Point Amusement Park Soak City

Not all Meijer stores sell these tickets though. Only stores that are within a reasonable driving distance to Cedar Point amusement park and their amazing roller coasters offer them. Although things can always change, according to their website, these are the stores that will be offering Cedar Point tickets discounted this year:

Michigan & Illinois

As you can see, there are quite a few stores participating! If you live in Michigan or Illinois, you’re in luck, since all stores participate. Indiana and Ohio have numerous stores participating as well. If you live in Kentucky, though, you’re out of luck, and you’ll just have to buy your tickets online if you want to score a sweet discount.

The discounts aren’t always huge, but they’re far better than what you’d pay by just showing up at the gate at Cedar Point and paying. Prices also vary based on which Meijer location you go to, so if you have several Meijer stores near you, it will pay to shop around. The best prices that I’ve seen personally was $25.99 for an adult ticket, which is almost 50% off. You can check this thread for prices at Meijer stores that other Cedar Point roller coaster fans have found.

In addition to adult tickets, Meijer also sells cedar point discount tickets for children and for Soak City. Some stores also carry multi-day passes. So, as always, shop around when you’re looking for discounts on Cedar Point admission. One day the best price might be on the Cedar Point main website, while another day it could be with a coupon or by purchasing your tickets at Meijer.

Whatever you do, just don’t show up at the gate and expect to get in for a reasonable price unless you’re rich. Day of tickets cost nearly $50 per person, and there’s just no reason to pay that kind of price for admission when you can get Cedar Point discount tickets so easily.
